This NEW friendly, 1-day woodworking class in London covers the fundamentals to get you started in cutting, shaping, and joining.An experienced tutor will spend 6 hours teaching you how to:
Work safely with very sharp tools
Use chisels, saws, knives, tape measures, and squares correctly
Measure, mark, and cut with a fraction of a millimetre accuracy
Understand the basic structure of wood
Make time-honoured joints such as halvings, mortice & tenons, and dovetails
Fix your joints together with glue and clamps
We’ll also talk tool sharpening, recommend tools to buy, and how to progress your learning if you’re keen for more.
Please note that unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets or children who are not registered for the course.
