Do I need woodworking experience to book a joinery class?

Not at all! Our beginner classes welcome complete novices - no prior woodworking experience required! We cover everything from safety basics to your first joints. If you've completed our beginner course or have some joinery experience, you can progress to our intermediate classes.

Do I need to bring anything with me? / What should I wear?

Everything you need will be provided so just come in comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes/trainers. No open-toed footwear is allowed for safety reasons.

Do you provide lunch?

No but there are plenty of food options nearby, and we are happy to give recommendations.

How many people will be on the course?

We keep our public classes between 1-8 participants to ensure adequate attention from our tutors. Private classes can be booked for up to 30 participants.

Will I be able to take home what i make?

Yes!

Are Courses suitable as gifts?

Absolutely! Our classes make perfect experience gifts for makers, DIY enthusiasts, or anyone curious about woodworking. Gift cards are available and valid for 3 years.

Can I book a private class for a group?

Yes! We offer private classes for groups of 6-30 people - perfect for corporate away days, team building, birthday parties, hen-dos, etc.

Where are you located?

Our workshop address is POW Workshops, EX2 Building, 41-43 Standard Road, LONDON NW10 6HF - easily accessible and in the heart of London's vibrant industrial zone. Our nearest stations are North Acton (13m), Harlesden (17m), Park Royal (20m), and Willesden Junction (25m).

What are your opening hours?

Tuesday to Saturday, 9:30am - 5:30pm.

Is parking available?

Yes, there's a small car park accessible from Dragor Road that is £2.50/day, payable via an app. If that fills up, there are also Pay By Phone spaces in the area, and residential bays that aren't monitored on weekends. Please be sure to allow some time in case you need to park a few streets away.

Are the classes Wheelchair Accessible?

Unfortunately not as the classroom is on the first floor but we are hoping to install a lift as soon as possible.

Can I visit before booking a class?

Absolutely! Feel free to book a tour to see our facilities and meet the team before committing to a class.

After Booking

What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel or reschedule free of charge up until 1 day before the class starts.

Can I continue learning after the class?

We offer progression from beginner to intermediate classes, plus ongoing workspace rental where you can practice your new skills with access to all our professional tools and machines.
