BEGINNERS JOINERY CLASSES (WEEKENDS)

This friendly, 2-day weekend woodworking course in London covers the fundamentals to get you started in cutting, shaping, and joining.

An experienced tutor will spend 10 hours over a weekend teaching you how to:

  • Work safely with very sharp tools.

  • Use chisels, saws, knives, tape measures, and squares correctly.

  • Measure, mark, and cut with a fraction of a millimetre accuracy.

  • Understand the basic structure of wood.

  • Make time-honoured joints such as halvings, mortice & tenons, and dovetails.

  • Fix your joints together with glue and clamps.

The class will also cover tool sharpening, recommend tools to buy, and how to progress your learning if you’re keen for more.
